Aims & Objectives

		To help in creating a constructive environment for promotion and development of the Handicrafts sector for preserving & promoting the cultural heritage of the State and to promote transfer of skills and their up-gradation.
		To manage and supervise the State level design centre in order to promote design development, product innovation and product diversification also to conduct design development programmes, arrange competitions among craft persons for development of new designers.
		To conduct survey, studies and research in the field of Handicrafts & publish and promote publication of literature on handicrafts.
		To develop marketing intelligence net work for facilitating marketing/export of handicrafts and to conduct conference, symposia, seminars, workshops, buyer-seller meets, exhibitions, awareness camps etc.
		To facilitate organization of S.H.Gs / Co-operative societies / Associations of craft persons and promote their capacity building and to arrange welfare of craft persons.
		To raise funds by way of grants, loans, contribution including foreign aid, through and from Govt. of India, Govt. of Orissa, statutory corporations, bodies, financing institutions & other sources and to invest and expend funds to raise as per the decisions of the General Body.
